Reclaimed Veneer Barn Door Band Sawn Upper Chevron
1920s Band Sawn Reclaimed Veneer Barn Door
Interior barn door constructed with reclaimed barn rafter beams from 1920s era barns throughout Ohio and western Pennsylvania. These logs were originally cut by band saws. Having endured sun, wind and water for decades, each board is distinctive, which makes every barn door unique. Each of our doors is constructed by an Amish woodworking shop. Your door will not be built until ordered. Construction starts with a solid wood core. A reclaimed beam is then cautiously "skinned" to recover that beautiful weathered look. The skin is then carefully rearranged on top the original wood core. To reduce costs to the public and reduce the weight of the door, only one side of the door is skinned with circular sawn wood.
These doors are exceptionally rare due to the limited availability of barn beams and the craftsmanship required to make it. Each door will have a unique look and feel to it as each beam has weathered differently. The rough texture of the door's skin sets it apart from other reclaimed door options.
